1. Summary
- Try first: the free SEO audit and the Free plan cost nothing, and Starter starts with a free 7-day trial. Nothing is charged when the trial starts, we remind you 2 days before it ends, and if you cancel before then nothing is charged.
- 30-day money-back guarantee: a full refund of the first payment of your subscription, on any plan, monthly or yearly, if you ask within 30 days. No questions asked.
- Forgot to cancel? A renewal is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the charge and have not used the paid features since it.
- Our mistakes are always refunded: duplicate charges, charges after you cancelled, and time lost to a serious outage on our side.
- Paid by Creem: refunds go back to the original payment method, taxes included, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
2. Who processes refunds
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ). Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payments, taxes, invoices, refunds and chargebacks.
Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ (Estonia)) sells our subscriptions as Merchant of Record, so every refund is paid by Creem. You can ask either us at [email protected] or Creem at [email protected]: we confirm eligibility under this policy and Creem sends the money back. This policy adds to Creem’s buyer terms and never reduces the rights they or the law give you: where they differ, the rule most favourable to you applies.
3. Free plan and Starter trial
The Free plan, available through the free SEO audit, is free with no time limit and involves no payment. The Starter plan starts with a free trial of 7 days; each person and each organisation can use one trial. Pro and Agency have no trial: they are paid at checkout and covered by the money-back guarantee below.
Starting the trial requires a payment method, entered at the Creem checkout; nothing is charged when the trial starts. We email you a reminder 2 days before the trial ends. If you cancel in Settings → Billing before then, nothing is charged. Cancelling during the trial ends the trial and access to the Starter features at once. If you let the trial run on, Starter starts and its first period is charged, monthly or yearly as you chose; that first payment is covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee below. Moving from the trial to Pro or Agency ends the trial and the new plan is charged at once.
4. 30-day money-back guarantee
If Aseoma is not right for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of the first payment of your subscription and we refund that payment in full. It applies to monthly and yearly plans, to every plan, and to businesses and consumers alike. You do not need to give a reason, although we are grateful if you tell us what did not work.
The guarantee covers the first payment of each organisation once. When you upgrade, for example from Starter to Pro, within the 30 days, the whole amount paid in that time is covered. A new subscription taken out after a refunded one is covered by the rules for renewals below, not by a second guarantee.
When the refund is issued the subscription ends; your projects and data stay in the Workspace.
5. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year. The renewal date and amount are always visible in Settings → Billing, and you can cancel there in two clicks at any time before it; you then keep your plan until the end of the period already paid.
A renewal payment is refunded in full when:
- you ask within 14 days of the renewal charge and nobody in the Workspace has used the paid features since it (for example, you forgot to cancel);
- it was charged after you had cancelled, or twice for the same period;
- the Service was unavailable or seriously broken through our fault for a substantial part of the period (we refund the affected time pro rata, or all of it if the Service could not be used at all);
- you live in the United Kingdom and it is the renewal of a yearly subscription: you then have 14 days from the renewal to cancel and receive a refund reduced only for the days you used after the renewal;
- the law of your country requires it.
Outside these cases, a renewal that has been used is not refunded, but cancelling at any time stops the next one.
6. Consumers: right of withdrawal
If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, the EEA, Switzerland or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. Consumers in some other countries have similar cancellation periods under their own law (for example 14 days in Turkey and Israel, 7 days in South Korea, Brazil and Canada).
Because the Service is digital and starts at once, the checkout asks you to agree that it begins immediately. The law then allows the right of withdrawal to end once the Service has been provided, or requires only a payment for the days used. You do not need to worry about this: our 30-day money-back guarantee refunds the first payment in full regardless of use, which is longer and more generous than the statutory period.
To withdraw, send a clear statement, such as an email, to [email protected] or to Creem at [email protected]. You may use the model withdrawal form of Directive 2011/83/EU, but you do not have to. We refund without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after your notice, by the payment method you used, at no cost to you.
7. Upgrades, downgrades and cancellations
- Upgrade (a higher plan, or monthly to yearly): takes effect immediately. You pay only the difference for the rest of the current period, charged at once and calculated pro rata by Creem.
- Downgrade: takes effect immediately, and the lower price applies from the next renewal. The difference for the current period is not refunded.
- Cancellation: stops the next renewal; a paid plan stays active until the end of the period already paid. It does not by itself refund the current period, but you can ask for a refund at the same time if one of the cases in this policy applies.
- Enterprise plans agreed individually follow the refund terms of their order, and this policy where the order says nothing.
8. What is not refundable
We do not refund:
- the unused remainder of a period after the 30-day guarantee has passed, except in the cases listed under Renewals;
- usage allowances left unused at the end of a period (they have no cash value);
- accounts closed for serious breach of our Terms, such as fraud, abuse of the Service or of this policy (for example repeated subscribe-and-refund cycles or bulk extraction of data followed by a refund request).
We never refuse a refund that the law or Creem’s buyer terms grant you.
9. How to ask for a refund
- Email [email protected] from the address of your account, or write to Creem at [email protected] from the email you paid with. Adding the order or invoice number helps but is not required.
- We reply within one business day and confirm the refund.
- Creem sends the money back to the original payment method and emails you a confirmation. Cards usually show it within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.
The refund is made in the currency you paid in and includes the VAT or sales tax collected. Exchange-rate differences applied by your bank are outside our control.
10. Disputed charges
If you do not recognise a charge or think it is wrong, please contact us or Creem first: it is faster than a dispute with your bank and we will fix it. If a chargeback is opened, Creem handles it with your bank, and paid features may be paused while it is pending.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version. A change never applies to payments made before it: each payment is covered by the policy in force on the day it was made.
